Parents Association

Here you will find information on our Parents Association

Moynalvey National School has a very active and enthusiastic parent’s association, they are a valuable part of the school community and are vital in ensuring fundraising and organizing social and recreational events for the parents and pupils of the school. The Parents Association provides the structure through which parents can work together for the best possible education for their children. They work with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management to build effective partnerships between home and school, encouraging a programme of activities which will promote the involvement of parents in the activities of the school.

The parent’s association comprises all parents and guardians of each child in the school. Once your child is enrolled in the school, you are automatically a member. As a member, we hope that you can find a way of helping to achieve our goal.

Parents Association News

Tractor Run

Bank Holiday Monday saw Moynalvey NS go TOP GEAR! Our incredible Parents’ Association organised a Tractor Run. Alongside the assortments of John Deeres and Massey Fergusons were some fantastic vintage cars. Although Marty McFly and Doc Browne were missing on the day, a DeLorean was spotted on site complete with flux capacitor! The event was a sight to behold with over 50 vehicles in attendance!

Many thanks go to the Parents’ Association for organising, our local drivers and farmers for giving up their bank holiday Monday to attend and bringing their fantastic vehicles, the many parents who guided and manned the car park and yard, our wonderful students who helped out on the day with tea/coffee, registration and collecting money, an Garda Síochana for their direction of the traffic run and ensuring health and safety and anyone who donated money or gave up their time to help run the event! There is a great community spirit for Moynalvey NS!
