Some out of this world projects in Ms. Ní Thailtigh and Ms. Curley’s 3rd class. The students did wonderful projects based on the Solar System.
We made projects about the Solar System. Ms Ní Thailtigh put us in groups of two’s and three’s and we set to work on the project together. We had three weeks in total to finish the projects. It was so much fun and we learned so much about the solar system.
Some of us made diorama’s and we wrote many facts. We used paper, cardboard and Styrofoam to make the planets. We painted pictures and one of us even made a mini book about the solar system with 100 facts in it. Wow. One of us also made the sun from paper mâché with Christmas lights in the side to make it light up like the sun. Another one of us made a project out of paper and the planets out of shells. One person even brought in a book about the solar system and read out some of the facts in it. It was very cool. One of u made the planet Saturn out of an old DVD disc and a sliotar. It was impressive. It was such a fun project and we really enjoyed learning all about the planets.’
